Allen Aloise

Allen Aloise is the Dean for Administration and Finance at the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) at Harvard University. In this role, he serves as GSAS’s Chief Administrator, strengthening and sustaining overall planning, strategic management, and administrative services for the school.

 Prior to GSAS, Allen served as Director of Laboratories in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, where he was responsible for ensuring that faculty had the resources necessary to conduct world class research and teaching. He additionally served as Co-Director of Graduate Studies, administering the academic program for graduate students and serving as a resource and mentor. His other roles at Harvard include Lecturer, Science Safety Officer, and Associate Director of Technical Services.

 Allen earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from Harvard and a B.S. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University.
