Kris A. Monahan

Kris Monahan is the Chief Research Administration Officer leading the FAS Office of Research Administration (FORA). Kris brings more than 20 years of experience in research administration, grants management, and higher education leadership, most recently serving as Senior Director of Sponsored Projects and Research Compliance at Providence College. Her expertise spans pre- and post-award services, research compliance, and faculty development, with a strong track record of securing research funding and advancing institutional research programs. She has also held key roles at Wellesley College, Bridgewater State University, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and has taught graduate-level courses in research and public administration. A former President of NCURA, Kris holds degrees in Psychology, Public Administration, and a Ph.D. in Education.
